The Basics
E-City Digital’s proposed system would provide secure end-to-end transmission using proven encryption, decryption and projection technologies.
Post-production the movie is converted into digital master using the Telecine machine, from the Telecine machine the movie can be taken on D-5 tape or can be captured directly on the encoding server.
Encoding server does the job of compression and encryption of the movie. With encryption a key is applied to the movie and only authorized person can access the movie, thereby helping in preventing piracy.
After encryption and compression the movie is up-linked to the satellite via transmit ion server and downloaded at the play out server, installed at local cinema. From the local server the movie is screened using digital projector.
| Getting Started - Installation |
The installation of system begins with total project management handled by E-City, everything from the site survey to V-SAT network and system installation, system check-out, operator training, full follow-up, and rapid response to your individual needs. Once the E-CITY system is installed, and linked to a secure V-SAT connection, the content is delivered to the cinema and loads automatically without operator involvement. The content will be uploaded from the Satellite NOC which is located at Noida – Delhi.

It was created with extensive input from cinema managers, information technology experts, engineers, projectionists, and others who work in that environment and know its requirements and workflow.
It has the capability to handle content with or without audio, with sync sound or non-sync background music; it can accommodate repeating, single-play, or transitional visual content.

In the cinema, E-CITY enables key functions to be handled remotely, efficiently, and in ways that virtually eliminate operator involvement in the booth.
Content loads, stages and plays automatically; and status monitoring of key equipment components and preventive maintenance diagnostics can be handled from a remote E-City site.
Automatic updates with improved pre-show functionality are supplied over the V-SAT network, as part of every E-CITY service Plan.
The E-CITY Digital System is equipped and pre-configured to be part of a secure private V-SAT network and has other security to minimize the risks associated with most intrusions. For additional security, as required by exhibitors, the E-CITY System can accommodate other devices and measures.
